How our website collects the information

Website cookies

Cookies help us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they're looking for easily. By using our website, you agree that we may store and access cookies on your computer or mobile device (referred to in this policy as a “device”).

We may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file. Our website uses cookies to distinguish you from other users of our website. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website and also allows us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service.

This helps us to improve the way our website works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily. IP anonymization in Google Analytics

By default, Google Analytics (referred to in this policy also as “Analytics”) uses the entire IP address of website users to provide general geographic reporting. When IP anonymizing is enabled, Analytics removes the last octet of the user’s IP address prior to its use and storage. Insight Terra enables this setting in its Analytics account so your full IP address is not recorded. The Analytics information is anonymous (i.e. it cannot be used to identify you and does not contain personal information such as your name and email address) and it is only used for statistical purposes.

How we use the information collected by our website

Analytic performance cookies

Analytic performance cookies are used to monitor the performance of our website, for example, to determine the number of page views and the number of unique users our website has. Web analytics services are designed and operated by third parties; Insight Terra uses Google Analytics. As a user navigates between web pages, Analytics provides website owners JavaScript tags (libraries) to record information about the page a user has seen, for example the URL of the page. The Analytics JavaScript libraries use HTTP Cookies to “remember” what a user has done on previous pages and interactions with the website. The information provided by these cookies allow us to analyze patterns of user behaviour on our site and we may use that information to enhance user experience or identify areas of the website which may require maintenance. We can also analyze which pages are viewed on our site and how long for, and which links are followed.

Forms

We only use your directly submitted information to contact you about your request on our website.  We do not provide your completed form information to any third parties.

How you can manage what information is collected by our website

You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal data for direct marketing purposes.
  • Request restriction of processing of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in the following scenarios: (a) if you want us to establish the data’s accuracy; (b) where our use of the data is unlawful but you do not want us to erase it; (c) where you need us to hold the data even if we no longer require it as you need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or (d) you have objected to our use of your data but we need to verify whether we have overriding legitimate grounds to use it.
  • Request the transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party. We will provide to you, or a third party you have chosen, your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Note that this right only applies to automated information which you initially provided consent for us to use or where we used the information to perform a contract with you.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.
