Dr. Kym Morton is a pragmatic and tremendously experienced hydrogeologist and mine water strategist with 40 years in the global mining industry. Dr. Morton specialises in mine groundwater control, risk assessment, protection and remediation. She has lead high value projects for Ivanhoe, BHP, First Quantum, Alrosa, Lucara, Rio Tinto, De Beers, AngloGold and many others and leverages the use of Big Data for accurate water and stability management.  

Dr. Morton has done advisory work for the World Bank, UNESCO, the South African Government and regularly lectures and presents on the topic. She is widely published in many professional journals and is a Chartered Geologist, a Fellow of the UK and RSA Geological Societies, and a Fellow of SAIMM. Dr. Morton holds a BSc (H) from Kings College London, an MSc from University College London, a PhD in Hydrogeology and MBA from Imperial College London.
