Collaboration and partnership have always been critical to the success of a company, and never more so than in today’s volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous business environment. Insight Terra works closely with a number of strategic partners to significantly enhance the value of its offering into the marketplace, while mutually enhancing its partners’ solutions in the mining sector.
Inmarsat is the world’s leading mobile satellite communications company with over 40 years’ experience of providing mission critical safety services on land, at sea and in the air. Inmarsat originally developed the Tailings Insight platform in collaboration with Civic Connect during 2018 and 2019, winning an Innovation Award in late 2019 from Mining Magazine. Inmarsat worked closely with Insight Terra during 2020 to refine, improve and optimize the platform for monitoring all aspects of mine tailings storage facilities. Inmarsat will retain an equity stake in Insight Terra and provide resilient remote communications to support the Insight Platform. Insight Terra will continue to collaborate with Inmarsat through its Application and Solution Provider (ASP) programme, an eco-system of IoT companies providing global solutions.
Insight Terra integrates Crosser Cloud and Crosser Node into the Insight Platform solution. This advanced edge functionality ingests, aggregates and processes the data from multiple data sources and types, before directing it to the Insight cloud-based data management platform.
